Activities: Gentrification in Prenzlauerberg, (frantic) walking tours, documentary film “PereSTROIKA- Renovation of an apartment” (dir. Christiane Büchner)
Themes: familiarizing new places through memory-association with other places I’ve been, my personal discomfort in “gentrified” neighborhoods (at once familiar and repulsive)

Activities: Kreuzberg, squatters’ movements, West Berlin in the 1980s, making myself “at home” in Arttransponder space
Themes: crystallization of knowledge I’ve known intuitively but could not quite articulate or explain, negotiation/coming to terms with my own multiple identities (homes)

Activities: visit to trailer squat “Laster und Hänger” in Friedrichshain, Gropiusstadt, theater and music videos in East Berlin “satellite towns” (zhytlovi masyvy)
Themes: psychological comfort of knowing your state will take care of your social welfare, how/why make art when you are well taken care of, relationship between socio-political-ideological responsibility activity and art (for art’s sake)
